Description:
PXIN-B Injection
- It has low resistance against susceptible organisms Like Pseudomonas aeruginosa etc.( Department of Medical Microbiology, University of Malaya Medial Center, Cardiff University, Cardiff United Kingdom)
- It has lower MIC against susceptible organisms like lethal Strains of P.aeruginosa
- It is superior to Colistimethate sodium
- It is safe with least toxicity (In Singapore General Hospital 26 patients who received polymyxin B for multi-drug resistant gram-ve infections reports a polymyxin B related nephrotoxicity rate of 0%( *Expert Rev. Anti Infect. Ther (5)2007)) (The use of Polymyxin B to treat multi-resistant gram -ve infections was highly effective and associated with a lower rate of nephrotoxicity then previously described(*Antimicrobial agents and chemotherapy, Aug 2003))
